She trained in karate at her family's dojo from early childhood, and tore her anterior cruciate ligament twice as a student. Yoga came to her through that rehabilitation. She joined a major yoga studio straight out of university and taught yoga and exercise classes there for six years, also working on programme development and on training and developing instructors. She has since moved to Ishigaki, where she works as a freelance instructor while raising her child. Alongside yoga and meditation classes she teaches online, and for companies and events. In Ishigaki's abundant nature she stays close to each person, whatever their age or experience, offering time in which body and mind let go and a smile comes easily.
