Terms of service

This is a reference translation. The Japanese version is the legally authoritative text.

These terms apply to Okinawa Beach Yoga lessons. Please read them before you book, and book only if you agree to them.

01Scope

{"These terms apply between Okinawa Beach Yoga (representative": "Takuya Sato — \"we\", \"us\") and you, in relation to booking and joining our beach yoga lessons (the \"lesson\")."}

Lessons are taught by instructors we contract with. The instructor is our contractor, and the contract for the lesson is between you and us.

Where the Specified Commercial Transactions Act notice on this site covers a matter (price, payment, cancellation), that notice governs.

02How a booking is made

Your booking is made when we send you the booking confirmation email.

Bookings close at 17:30 on the day before the lesson.

A regular lesson runs with two or more participants. If yours is a booking for one person and nobody else has booked the same session, we will email you three days before and on the day before to ask whether you would like a one-to-one lesson instead. If we have not heard that you would by 17:30 on the day before, the lesson is cancelled at no charge.

03Changes and cancellations

You may change or cancel free of charge until 17:30 on the day before the lesson.

After that time, changes, cancellations and no-shows are charged in full.

Please change or cancel from this site, or from the link in your booking confirmation email. On the morning of the lesson, call your instructor instead.

04Cancellation for weather and sea conditions

If we judge that the lesson cannot be run safely because of weather or sea conditions, we will cancel it and let you know. Nothing is charged.

If a lesson starts and cannot continue, we charge half the price when it stops within the first 30 minutes, and the full price after that.

Your safety comes before anything else in this decision.

05Conditions for joining, and telling us about your health

Please do not join the lesson if either of the following applies to you.

・You have been drinking alcohol.

・A doctor has told you to limit physical activity (unless your doctor has cleared you).

If anything about your health needs to be taken into account — a medical condition, an injury, pregnancy, medication — please tell us when you book, or before the lesson starts. We will adjust the lesson.

If you are not feeling well on the day, please say so rather than push through.

If we judge that the lesson cannot be run safely, we may decline your participation. Where this is due to your own circumstances, such as alcohol, the full price is charged, as with a cancellation after the cut-off. Where it is for any other reason, such as weather or sea conditions, nothing is charged.

06During the lesson

The lesson takes place outdoors by the sea. Uneven sand, sun, wind, waves and marine life are all part of it in a way they never are indoors.

Please follow your instructor, and work within your own condition and ability. Perfecting a pose is not the point.

Please bring as few valuables as you can.

07Liability

We and our instructors run lessons with your safety in mind. Where loss or injury is caused by something we are responsible for, we are liable for it.

We are not liable for loss or injury arising from causes outside our responsibility, such as the following.

・Something you did not tell us about your health, or not following your instructor's guidance

・Your own medical condition or state of health

・Natural events, marine life, or the acts of third parties, which are beyond our control

・Anything that happens on your way to or from the meeting point

None of the above limits our liability for loss caused by our intent or gross negligence.

08Insurance

We hold public liability insurance against accidents arising from our lessons.

That insurance responds where we are legally liable in connection with a lesson.

09Lesson photos

We give you the photo data taken during the lesson afterwards.

We and your instructor may also use those photos to introduce the programme, for example on this site and on social media.

If you would rather not appear, please tell your instructor on the day.

If you photograph or film other participants, please ask them first.

10Minors and children

If you are under 18, please book with the consent of a parent or guardian. If you are coming with a young child, please tell us when you book. A guardian must stay with the child for safety.

11What you may not do

When using our lessons, please do not do any of the following.

・Behave in a way that troubles other participants, your instructor, or anyone else

・Sell, solicit, or carry out religious or political activity

・Break the rules of the beach where the lesson is held

・Break the law, or act against public order and decency

12Personal data

We handle your personal data in line with our privacy policy.

13Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. A revision takes effect when we publish it on this site. Bookings already made are governed by the terms as they stood when the booking was made.

14Governing law

These terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of Japan.
