Natsu
Born in Kita-Kamakura, Kanagawa. From her mid-teens she moved between the Kanto region, Osaka and Okinawa; this is her fourth time living in Okinawa. A survivor of abuse, she became independent at 15 and travelled across Asia as a backpacker from her teens.
She met ISHTA yoga during a hard period of her life, and yoga carried her through it. She came to it for the shapes at first, but as she studied she realised it was a way of living, and decided to make her work something people thank her for — which led her to teaching.
Today her classes centre on yoga and the resonance of overtones, meeting and holding whatever each person is carrying in body and mind. She also delivers mindfulness sessions for companies, and designs, makes and plays an original instrument, the Chura Chime, teaching courses on it as well.
"Know yourself as you are now, and be content there." She teaches with that in view, staying close to each person.
